Cleariestown Cemetery

Cleariestown Cemetery Committee wish to ballot the community on proposed changes to the layout of the graveyard plan in the new section, going forward, as follows: Each grave would have its own headstone, one row would have the headstones at the top of the grave and the other would have it at the foot of the grave so the headstones would be back to back in the centre.

As it is now we have a path, headstone, grave, headstone, grave and path, the new way would be path, grave, headstone, headstone, grave and path therefore making our paths wider for wheelchairs, funerals etc. Ballot papers will be handed out at mass at a date to be confirmed in due course.

Tidy Towns

On Saturday, April 8, Rosslare had its Clean-Up Day which turned out to be a great event. 37 people took part and on what was the warmest day so far nearly 40 Bags of rubbish together with other discarded items were collected.

This Community Event was co-ordinated by Tidy Towns and we now want to say a huge thanks to All who turned out, it was great to see the younger generation taking part.

We had people who are not permanent residents and a suggestion by one of our members that we should set up a 'Flying Squad' for the Holiday Season will be followed through.

Thanks to Centra for looking after the Younger generation, to Tides for the supply of tea and coffee, and to Wexford CC who organised a special collection of the waste on Monday.

Our Spring/summer Newsletter is now available, and work continues especially on all the planters around the village.
