We have been making great progress over the past week especially with the favourable weather.
In addition to the special projects we are keeping a close eye on the routine maintenance work especially Litter Collection and we wish to Acknowledge and Thank the very many people who are helping out with this task.
We had to alert the Litter Warden of some particular problems and follow action is under way.
For example some person (s) is dumping Black Bin Liner Bags on the Cliff and at Ford of Lyng and other locations around the Village and this is well outside the law.
Unfortunately Dog Dirt continues to be something of a problem and we again appeal for the co-operation of Dog Owners. We have also requested regular routine visits from the Warden.
It is a pity that a few regularly rail against the excellent standards of the majority. On Thursday, May 18, we have the final part of the 'Stop Food Waste Challenge '11 a.m. at Cois Barry Community House, this has been very well attended and has been an excellent Seminar, detailed reports will issue later.
Thanks again and we ask Everyone to join with us in Keeping Rosslare Beautiful.
To all our supporters we would like to wish you good luck in future games and thank you for playing. We would like everyone to be aware that bogus sellers going door to door collecting envelopes are criminals and fraudsters.
Our envelopes are available from Cushen's Tagoat, Nosh N Coffee, The Enterprise centre, The Lotus Restaurant, Turners Garage, McGuire's Hardware, Lollitots, Tides, The Bay, Centra, Kelly's Cafe in Meadows and Byrne, Cois Barry House, Kelly's Hotel Swimming Pool, The Pharmacy, The Hospital Shop, Rosslare Bookies and Seashells. Please Like Us on Facebook for all the latest info.
The next draw will take place in Cushen's on Friday, May 19. Congratulations to this week's winner Seán Hever, who picked up €130.
