As a fundraising event for the club, Ballyurn Celtic AFC are hosting a soccer camp which will take place in the school grounds on from August 1-4 from 10.30 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. €30 per child from 5 years to 13 years. Contact cllr John O'Rourke at 086 8420609 for details and booking.
Bingo is played every Monday night in the Anvil Ballymurn at 9 p.m.
Penny bank collections continue every Saturday and Sunday in the hall after masses.

Ballymurn summer festival is ongoing till Sunday, August 6. We hope to see you all out to support the Youth club. They will be collecting bottles for the bottle stall over the next week and a half and would appreciate if you could drop bottles to any committee member.
A course on personal safety will be held on August 2 in the hall at 7 p.m. This course is open to everyone. Foot golf is on August 8 at 2.30 p.m.
There are still a few places available for the Cork trip. full payment for the trip on or before August 20 please, and committee members will be available after 11.15 a.m. Mass on August 20, for collection of the money due.
The Wayside Players will present three plays for the forth-coming summer Drama Season. This year, Wayside will perform in Lever Bar in Blackwater Village. Two one-act plays, 'Fledged and Flown' and 'None the Wiser' will be presented on the following dates: Wednesday, August 2, 16 and 30, Saturday and Friday, August 12 and 25, commencing at 8.30 p.m.
A hilarious three-act play - 'The Lost Weekend' will be presented on Friday, August 4, and 18, Wednesday August 9 and 23 and Saturday, September 2, also commencing at 8.30 p.m. So please support the Wayside Players - a great night's entertainment is guaranteed at these comedy presentations.
A full Irish show in association with Celtic Roots called the 'Full Irish' is now running in Bree Hall on Tuesday nights up to the end of August. The night's entertainment begins at 8.30 p.m. with a scone and light refreshments followed by an hour and a half show of music, song, dance and storytelling. Admission is €10 for adults with concessions for children and groups. For bookings contact 087 7535354.
The Bree Patron will take place on Sunday, August 20, Bree Barndance.
Reserve Saturday, August 26, for the annual Barndance in Byrne's of Bree Grainstore. Tickets for the Barndance are now available from Eddie Dunne.
Youth Club Supervisors
Bree Youth Club needs more supervisors to facilitate the number of members currently in the club.If we do not get a sufficient number of supervisors we may have to limit the number of young people registering with the club for the coming year. Parents are strongly encouraged to get Garda vetted before Youth club resumes so that we may continue to provide a meeting place for the young people of the parish and surrounding areas. Garda vetting application forms can be obtained by sending your email address to 087 2319219.

Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over. Applicants must also be in receipt of an Irish social welfare payment for one year or more. Garda Vetting will also be required for positions dealing with children, the elderly or vulnerable people.
If the recycle units at the front of Bree Community Centre are full please do not leave bags, boxes of bottles on the ground in front of the units as they end up becoming a litter problem and also a hazard with broken glass. Please do not bring household refuse or any other type of rubbish up to the units as it will not be taken away.
The next session of music, singing and recitations will take place at Kyle Forge on Sunday next, August 6, with proceedings getting under way at 8 p.m. Refreshments are also served.
Adoration every Monday from 1 p.m. till 7.20 p.m with Mass at 7.30 p.m. Adoration then continues till 9 p.m. Friday next, August 4, is the First Friday of the month and the sick and housebound of the parish will be visited during the morning. Prayer meeting every Wednesday night at the parochial house at 8 p.m.

A special collection will be taken up this coming weekend, Saturday and Sunday, August 5 and 6, at Crossabeg church. Over 24 millions people across East Africa are struggling to survive a devastating hunger crisis. Trócaire are appealing for your generous support and help.

The next date for social dancing in Oylegate Community Centre is Sunday, August 13. Music on the night is by 'Just two ', who pay their first visit to Oylegate. This group are very popular on the social dancing circuit. Dancing is from 9.30 p.m. Admission €8. Come along and enjoy a lovely night of music, fun and dance.

Under-8s training is every Wednesday evening in Crossabeg pitch at 6.30 with Ciaran Kearney (087 6121959). Registration is €30 and gum shields must be worn. Under-10 and under-12 training is also on every Wednesday evening in Crossabeg Pitch at 6.30.

A reminder that the 77th annual Castlebridge Horticultural and Agricultural Show takes place on Sunday, August 13, in Castlebridge hall. The committee have organised have numerous classes so whether you are interested in baking, arts and crafts, growing vegetables/flowers, photography or flower arrangements, they have a class to suit everyone.

The annual Mass for the deceased members and their loved ones of Castlebridge Show committee will take place on Sunday next, August 6, at 10.30 a.m in Castlebridge church.
