Mary Jordan was the lucky winner of last week's jackpot prize of €8,400 and Ciara Edwards and John Kelly shared in the match three prize.

DRAMA

Ballycogley Players are looking to recuit new talent.If you are interested in any aspect of drama-acting, backstage, directing, or front of the house please contact any member of the group, or phone 9135412. Readings will be held in Ballycogley hall on Monday night 20th September at 8.30pm. All are welcome.

CHARITY HORSE SHOW

A charity horse show will be held on Sunday 19th September at Silverspring farm, Ballycogley in aid of Mayglass church renovation fund. Feature events: €1,000 1.10m, Amateur grand prix.

First prize: personalised painting worth €550 kindly sponsored by Dale Adams. Open speed derby along with all pony classes. Ground will be watered if necessary by kind permission of Pat ORourke. Fun family day out 10am-till late, admission free. Contact Pat 086 0853571 or

FOOTBALL

The intermediate footballers of St Fintans are busy preparing for the semi final of the Jack OLeary championship when they take on H.W.H Bunclody on Saturday September 18th in Wexford park. Please give them your support.

FUNDRAISING WALK

The St Fintans GAA club will hold its annual fundraising 10k walk on Sunday 19th September. The walk will commence at 11.15am from the GAA club grounds Ballymore.

Why not use the walk to help the local club, chat with friends and to get some exercise. Sponsorship cards are available from Mary T Ryan and John William Rowe. A great way to work up an appetite and help your local club.

U12 GIRLS FOOTBALL

Well done to the U12 girls who made it through to the division 4 semi finals but unfortunately were beaten by Sarsfields 1-6 to 0-9 last Saturday they put up a good fight but just not lucky enough on the day. They had a great year with only two losses.

The panel consisted of Shauna Walsh, Aoife Goldsmith, Jodie Goldsmith, Ciara Pierce, Aoife Cardiff, Rebecca Popplewell, Emily Coakley, Aisling Ryan, Lauren Wright, Nicole Meyler, Lorna Walsh, Sarah McDonnell, Sarah Brennan, Charolette Cambell, Rebecca Foley, Michelle Cullen, Shannon Walsh, Edel Busher, Eimear and Niamh Fahy, Clara and Anna Bell and Noise Ward.

All underage training has finished for this year. Thanks to all for attending. We look forward to seeing you all next year.

BALLYCOGLEY BADMINTON

Training resumes on Tues day nights in Rosslare 8-10pm (starting 14th Sept) and Thurs nights in Ballycogley Hall 8-10pm. Please come along and all new members are very welcome.

VINTAGE RUN

In association with Bargy Vintage club on Sunday September 26th a run will set off from Ballycogley at 1pm. Proceeds in aid of Mayglass church fund.For further details please contact 086 2550704.

A grand concert will be held in the Talbot Hotel on Thursday October 14th featuring the three Tenors and the Ballycogley Players.The concert will commence at 8.30pm and the proceeds from same will go to the Mayglass church fund. Tickets cost €10.

ALL BLACKS FUN DAY

All Blacks AFC will be holding a fun day on September 25th at 2pm. There will be something for everyone on the day: car boot sale, cake sale, tea stall, facepainting, golf, penalty shootout, crossbar challenge matches, bouncy castles, BBQ and a raffle for a jersey signed by Kevin Doyle.

GOLF SOCIETY

The St Fintan's golfing society will hold its next outing on the lovely Fato Island golf course on October 9th. Please keep this date in mind as the trophy on the day is the Captains prize. Tee off time is 10.30am.

GALA BALL

The St Fintans ladies and gents club will hold their fundraising gala ball in the Danby Lodge Killinick on Saturday October 16th. The night will commence with a champagne reception at 7pm and this will be followed by a five course meal and dancing til late to Dublin band Tilt followed by D.J Colin Wright. Dress is formal and there will be numerous spot prizes and all this for 50euro. Why not call on your friends to join you at your table for a fun night of chat, good food and a dance or two. Please contact any club member for your tickets.

The ALL Blacks ladies and gents soccer club would like to wish the St Fintans intermediate footballers the very best of good luck in their semi final against H.W.H Bunclody on Saturday September 18th in Wexford Park.

ALL BLACKS SCHOOLBOYS

Last Saturday saw our u-14 boys start the season with a 2-0 defeat at home to Wexford Albion. After this game we saw a titanic struggle which led to our youths team being defeated 4-3 also in a home fixture to a very good campile utd team. Training tonight for u-12 boys from 7-8pm.

CAR BOOT SALE

As part of the All Blacks field day on 25th September there will also be a car boot sale. So for anyone looking to declutter the attic or garage, fill up your car boot and bring it along to the All Blacks pitch in Big Barn, Mayglass on the day.
