BALLYMORE MAYGLASS

LOTTO

The jackpot in the St Fintans GAA lotto now stands at 3600 euro and tickets are available at the local shops and from club members at €1.50. A match three prize of 300 euro is also up for grabs each week and St Fintans supporters Paidi and Cliona Power,Paul Murphy and Yvonne Cousins shared in this prize last weekk. The numbers drawn were 5,9,23,24.

The St Fintans club would like to thank you all for your continued support.

A NIGHT OF COMEDY

The Ballycogley players are proud and honoured to be performing three very funny and entertaining one act plays on October 25, 26 and 27 in St Michael's SVP hall Thomas St. (opposite CBS school).

Admission is ten euro and the curtain will be drawn at 8pm. The group will present 'Parental Guidance" by Eammon Kelly, 'The Try' a new play by local man Greg Brannock and 'The Fat Lady Sings' by David Tristram.

SPONSORED WALK

Can those who have outstanding scout sponsorship cards for the recent 10k walk in Kilmore please return them to Breda Hayes or any scout leader as soon as possible. Thanks to all those who completed

the walk or have given a donation.

CHARITY DANCE

A charity dance in aid of the Mayglass church restoration fund will take place in the Danby Lodge Hotel on Friday November 2nd from 9pm till late. Music by Tom Murphy. Tickets costing 7.50 euro will be available at the door or contact 086 3117991.

LEINSTER CLUB

Following on their impressive victory over Kilcavan (Laois)in the Leinster club championship and their victory in the replay of the County intermediate A football championship verus Naomh Eanna Gorey the St Fintans will take on Kilbeggan Shamrocks (Westmeath) in the second round of the Leinster junior football club championship over next weekend.

At this time the venue is St Patricks Park Enniscorthy on Sunday October 28 at 3pm,this may change so please check the fixtures list in this paper for an update. N.B. Team member Niall Murphy is to date the only St Fintans player to have played in two Leinster club championships.

MASS TMES

Ballymore church ;Wednesday morning mass at 9.40am followed by Adoration from 10am-11am, Adoration also takes place from 7pm-8pm on Wednesday evening. Tuesday and Thursday evening mass at 7.30pm and Sunday morning mass at 10.30am.

Mayglass church: mass on Monday and Friday mornings at 9.30am with Saturday evening mass at 7.30pm.

KILMORE VARIETY GROUP

Kilmore Variety Group are seeking lots of new members for this years' show both male and female This is a great community organisation and a great way to meet new people. Perhaps you have some great ideas for new scenes and comedy. Maybe you took part in shows many years ago and would like to get back involved. We are always looking for boys/men in our shows and this year is no different. We want to see you!

Rehearsals and Enrolement for Teenagers will commence on Tuesday October 23 from 7:30 to 9 and Young Adults at 8.30 in the Stella Maris Centre. (note change in date).

Rehearsals for All Adults will commence on Thursday October 25 at 8:30 pm in the Stella Maris Centre.

Rehearsals and Enrolement for Children will commence on Sunday November 4 from 1 - 2 pm in the Stella Maris Centre. (note change in time).

Registration: The registration fee this year is €20 for Adults and €15 for Children. For a family of 3 or more taking part the fee is €40. This fee must be paid on the first day of rehearsals.

WORLD CHAMPION

Congratulations to Daniel Kavanagh and his doubles partner Cork youth Tadgh O'Neill on their World u-14 handball success over last weekend. Daniel is the great grandson of Mrs Monaghon Randlestown and grandson of James and Maire Byrne (nee Monaghon) Wexford town. Daniel was beaten in the u-14 singles final prior to his doubles victory at the City west Dublin venue.

Well done Daniel and may you treasure your world winners and runner up medals.

LADIES FOOTBALL AGM

St. Fintans Ladies Football AGM will take place on Thursday 25th October at 8pm in The Club Rooms.
