HALL COMMITTEE

Ballymurn Hall Committee would like to thank everyone involved in the successful fundraising concert last week. It was great to see so much talent take to the stage and provide us with such an excellent and enjoyable show.

BENEFIT NIGHT

There will be a benefit night in the Anvil Pub Ballymurn on Saturday, April 3, in aid of the J Whelan Fund.

PTAA

The annual youth weekend is scheduled for July 2 to 4 in Gormanstown. The fee is ¤100, this includes, food, accommodation, activities, workshops, etc. Personalised centre application forms for Confirmation children may be had from Eddie Dunne on 053 9247882. The next meeting is fixed for May 18 in Bree. This is the last meeting before Summer, so a good attendance will be appreciated to discuss summer and Autumn activities.

GAA NOTES

There was no winner of last week's Lotto jackpot and one match three winner, Owen Gordon. The numbers drawn were 6, 10, 17 and 18. This week's jackpot is ¤5,000.

Both adult hurling teams had easy wins in the League at the weekend with the Junior hurlers beating the Shelmaliers on Sunday, while the Junior B hurlers beat Davidstown on Saturday.

The minor footballers play at home against The Shamrocks on Friday, April 2 at 5.30pm. The Minor hurlers match away to Glynn Barntown was postponed on Sunday and will now most likely take place on Monday (April 5).

Best of luck to the U14 hurlers who play in division 1 of the Slaney hurling (feile) on Saturday morning in Hollymount, where they are drawn in a group with Glynn and the Shels. Indoor hurling has finished for the U8s and U10s. They move outdoors now and train on Tuesday evenings at 6.30pm in the pitch. Club jackets now available, contact Johnny Walsh. The Wexford v Kilkenny charity match in aid of the McDonald fire fund now takes place on Monday next, April 5, in Wexford Park.

VINTAGE RUN

The Over The Water Vintage Run will take place on Sunday, April 18 starting from Ballymurn at 12.30pm. It is in aid of CWCW Enniscorthy & the J Whelan Fund. The club will hold a meeting in Ballymurn Hall on Tuesday, April 6 at 8.30pm. Membership of ¤10 now due.

The Arch Club Church Gate Collection was held over the weekend and the amount collected was ¤138.82. Thank you for your support.

GOLF SOCIETY

The Anvil Golf Society results for Saturday, March 13 in Mountain View Golf Course were: 1st Andrew McCormack, 2nd Jason Cullen, 3rd Fiac O'Connor. Results for Rathaspeck Golf Course, March 28 were: 1st Jim Roche, 2nd Paddy Pender, 3rd Andrew McCormack. Well done to James Cullen who had a hole in one on the 17th hole. Next outing Saturday, April 10 in Carriglade tee off time changed to 11am.
