BALLYMURN

RENOVATIONS: Volunteers needed for work on the renovations on the Club House in Ballymurn Hall in Aid of Ballymurn Youth Club and Hall Committee. All skills required. If you would like to help contact Bobby Redmond 086 9955665, All help greatly appreciated.

FIT FOR LIFE CLASSES

Classes continue on Wednesday night in Ballymurn Hall between 8pm and 9pm and in Castlebridge Hall on a Monday morning from 10am.

DANCING LESSONS

There will be Irish dancing lessons every Wednesday in Ballymurn Hall at 3pm. All are very welcome.

YOUTH CLUB

Ballymurn Youth Club takes place every Friday night at 8pm. Registration forms will be handed out to be completed and returned on the following Friday night. The Youth Club AGM will take place on the 21st of sept at 8.30pm in Ballymurn Hall. All are very welcome to attend.

FOLK GROUP

Youth Folk Group practice will take place every Monday evening at 6.30pm in the Parish Hall.

COMMUNION

A first Holy Communion programme - Do this in Memory of Me. There will be a meeting for one parent/guardian from each family on Monday 27th September at 8.00pm in the local hall in Ballymurn. The first meeting for the programme is due to take place on Saturday 2nd October at 10am in Ballymurn Hall.

BAPTISM

It is with great joy that we welcome Riain Patrick Redmond and Isabelle Angel Hennessy into our Catholic community through their Baptism.

GAA NEWS

There was no winner of last weeks Lotto jackpot, while there was one match three winner, M Mulvey. The numbers drawn were 12, 15, 28, and 30. This week¡¯s jackpot is €10,000.

Hard luck to the Junior hurlers who were beaten by Adamstown in the County semi-final on Saturday last. Unfortunately it was a frustrating day when the team never hurled to the levels they had reached during the year.

The team was Mark Dempsey, Declan Byrne, Billy Roche, Timmy Cosgrave, David Kehoe, T.J. Parle, Alan Byrne (0-1), Barry Murphy (0-12 all frees), David Murphy, Paul Walsh (0-1), Eoin McDonald, Eoin Kehoe, Niall Murphy (0-1), Michael Cummins and David Jackman. Subs: Michael Doyle for D Jackman, John Murphy for M Cummins.

Thanks to the players and their mentors D McDonald, Felie Cummins and Gerry Bernard for all their hard work and commitment during the year.

Well done to the u16 hurlers who beat the Shamrocks in the semi-final on Saturday (2-15 to 2-5) They will play Oulart in the county final. Hard luck to the u14 footballers who lost to Sarsfields in the county semi final last week. Well done to the players and their mentors; John Cummins, Brian Foley, Aidan Banville, Nick Byrne and Mick Cullen for all their hard work during the year.

Well done to the u10 hurlers who won the over the water league in Hollymount last Saturday. The Beginners, U8s and U10s train on Tuesday evenings at 6.30pm in the pitch.

Congratulations to the Wexford Senior Camogie team on their great win in the All-Ireland final from all at Crossabeg/Ballymurn GAA Club.

Ballymurn Parents Association are holding their AGM on Tuesday 28th September in Ballymurn Hall at 8pm.

Ballymurn N.S. are presently looking for a part time caretaker. Applications to Board of Management Ballymurn N.S, Ballymurn, by Thursday 30th September.
