Grantstown Voluntary Housing list is currently open for our independent living scheme for senior citizens. If you would like an application please contact Patricia on 051-561016, all applicants are subject to meeting with criteria.

Personal security alarms are now available on a subsidized basis through Grantstown.

These provide a home safety and personal security system that enables people t live independently within their own homes. The alarm has a 24-hour telephone link to the Response Centre, for details contact Jan at 051-561016.

Volunteers Needed: Should you have a few hours to spare we are currently looking for volunteers to assist at the day care centre. The centre is open Mondays 10-3, Tuesdays and Thursdays 10.30-3. Assistance is also needed from anyone interested in helping with fund-raising for the centre. For more information contact Patricia at 051-561016.

Pongo is held every Sunday 3-5 p.m. at Grantstown Day Care Centre, refreshments served, all are welcome.

HOT ROD RACING

Revs Hot Rod club will be racing on Sunday March 21 in Ballymitty at 12 noon (racing at 1 p.m. sharp). For further information please call Andrew on 087 2805217.

PARENTS COUNCIL

Bannow Parent's Council are having an Easter Raffle for the school children, prizes are an Easter Egg Basket with 26 eggs in and there are al so 24 individual Easter eggs, these can be seen in the school office during lunchtime. Cost of tickets are ¤1 each or 3 for ¤2, your support would be much appreciated.

NATIONAL SCHOOL

Danescastle N.S. is now taking enrolments for September 2010. If your child is starting next September call to the school to get an enrolment form as son as possible.

ST. PATRICK'S DAY

Best wishes to all the people taking part in the first ever St. Patrick's Day parade in Carrig-on-Bannow at 2 p.m. Wednesday; we hope the weather stays good.
