THE LONDON Wexford Association has two important functions scheduled shortly.
On Friday, September 24, in conjunction with Fr Murphy's GAA Club, it is holding a benefit dance at St Joseph's Social Club, Empire Way, Wembley, in aid of John Ryan, his wife and family.
John, aged just 46, is suffering with the incurable, debilitating motor neurone disease.
'The Ryan family have made a huge contribution to both our organisations over the years, therefore, we urge you all to buy tickets and support this worthy cause,' said a spokesperson for the association.
On Saturday, October 16 the association will again hold its very popular Wexford Towns annual buffet dance at the 'Done Our Bit' club in Kilburn, London.
'We are delighted to inform you that we have secured the services of the much sought after six-piece Davitts show-band from Wexford to entertain guests with their music for the evening,' said the spokesperson.
Guests from the Town Councils of New Ross, Enniscorthy and Gorey, and Wexford Borough Council will be in attendance.
The annual Mass for deceased members of the association and the Fr. Murphy's GAA Club will take place at St Agnes RC church, Cricklewood Lane, on Saturday, November 13, starting at 6.30 p.m.
