Training has recommenced for the winter. Training for everyone on Monday and Friday nights at 7pm on the running track at Ballyhogue GAA grounds. There will also be a special fitness and strength training session every Thursday night at 7pm in Bree hall suitable for all National school children. Everyone is welcome.
KEEP FIT CLASSES
Keep fit classes continue in Galbally Hall every Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7.30-8.30pm. €5 per session, pay as you go. Further information from Niamh O'Brien 087 9567252.
CHESS AND DRAUGHTS
Bree Davidstown Community Games Chess and Draughts Lessons have resumed on Tuesday nights from 7-9pm in Bree Hall. All children from 8 to 16 yrs are welcome. Cost is €1 per child, max €2 per family.
BREE MACRA NEWS
Mark Waters and Laurence Leacy were in action for the club recently in the County Stockjudging Final. Both performed well but were not placed in the results. Club Officers travelled on Saturday week last to the interview stage of the AIB Club of the Year Competition.
The club was delighted to have made the top 12 clubs in the final and although Bree was not shortlisted in the top 5 it was still a great achievement for the club. 10 members of the Capers team spent this weekend in Amsterdam on the Macra na Feirme Prizewinners Trip while the club looks forward to their next social night, Friday 19th October, where the club will attend Wallis Birds' Concert in the Castle Nightclub. Congratulations to the Ballyhogue U16 football team who won the County Division 3 final in Taghmon last Wednesday beating Bannow. The Junior footballer were beaten 5.11 to 2.5 by the Shelmaliers in the county Junior B semi final last Saturday in Bellefield.

The parish choir has resumed practice on Thursday evening 7.30 pm. More voices would be very welcome.
