The Choral group Vocare, will sing at the 11.15 a.m. in Crossabeg church on Sunday next, April 29. Adoration every Monday from 2-7 p.m. Confessions every Saturday at 6.15 p.m. Prayer meeting in the parochial house on Wednesdays at 8 p.m.
The Pastoral centre committee`s fundraiser `by a brick` is now underway. You can sponsor a brick for €20 or a book of 10 bricks for €180. Sponsors names will go into a special draw in December.
Crossabeg/ Ballymurn GAA club are holding a golf classic on Friday, May 4 at Enniscorthy Golf club. Entry fee is €140 for a team of 4 persons or you can sponsor a peg (Tee or Green) for €50. Contact any committee member for further details.
A schoolboys/girls summer soccer camp will take place at the local grounds from Monday, July 2 to Friday, July 6 and will cater for children aged 6 years up to 14 years.
The cost is €60 per child or €100 for two children and aside from the training they will also receive a jersey, shorts, socks, water bottle and gym sack. END OF SEASON SOCIAL
Crossabeg Soccer club will hold their end of season social on Friday, May 11 at the premises of their sponsors, Mooneys of Wexford. Refreshments will be served.
Congratulations to Niall Reck, Ballymacshoneen, Crossabeg, winner of the gold medal at the Wexford Community Games county finals in New Ross on Sunday last. Niall was the winner of the under 14 Butterfly event and will represent the Castlebridge/crossabeg Area and the county at the national finals in Athlone in August. His brother Sean finished in the silver medal position in the under 12 breast-stroke event.
Rena Hourihane from Ballysilla, Oylegate, was the winner of the silver medal in the under 10 backstroke event. Padraig O`carroll, Crory, Crossabeg and sisters Aisling and Katie Feeney, Ballyvaloo also competed well but did not qualify for their respective finals. The Area wishes to thank Mary Mcdonald who co-ordinated the events.
Crossabeg/ballymurn GAA club had no winner of last weeks jackpot and one match 3 winner, Joanne O`leary. The numbers drawn were 4, 8, 22 & 25. This week's jackpot is €3,200.
The Junior A footballers play away to Bunclody in the championship on Sunday, April 29 at 6.30 p.m. The U16 footballers beat The Volunteers last week on a 2-12 to 3-7 scoreline. The U16 hurlers play away to Buffers Alley on Sunday, April 29 at 11a.m. The U14 hurlers play away to St. Annes on Thursday, April 26 at 7 p.m.
The Youth club members will meet this Friday from 8.30 - 10.30 p.m at the community centre. If there is any change in the venue members will be notified by text. Parents on duty are: John Scally, Mary Foley, parent of Carolyn Mcmorrow and parent of Claire Sinnott. If you are unable to supervise on your appointed night please arrange cover with another parent.
