Ferns won't get motorway exit

Calls for a turn off the planned Clough to Oylegate motorway at Ferns have come too late, Cllr Pip Breen has been told.
The Fianna Fáil wanted easy access to the M11 Enniscorthy by-pass for residents in the neighbourhood of Ferns, Monageer and Boolavogue.
He pointed out that one significant haulage business is based in the area.
Breen's lorry drivers will have the choice of joining the motorway either north of Camolin or in Enniscorthy.
Director of Road Services Eamonn Hore told the councillor that the road has already been designed and there is very little scope to alter the plans.
