BARNTOWN SCHOOL NEWS
Mini Sevens: The Barntown Boys team had a busy day on Friday last when they played Piercestown, Rathnure and Clonroche in the Mini Sevens. Although there were sterling performances from the lads, sadly they did not manage to progress to the next level. Many thanks to the parents who provided transport and the teachers who coached. Hard luck to the boys but we are still very proud of them all.
Green School: The green school committee has been busy planting Sweet Pea Seeds in the hope that the school will be awash with colour in May and June. Indeed all classes in the school have green fingers at the moment as a lot of veggie planting has been going on in the school garden. We are looking forward to both seeing and tasting this organic produce before the summer.
