KILMORE

KILMORE UNITED

A lot of our teams are well in contention as we enter the business end of the season, the men are now leaders of Division 2A after a hard fought 4-2 win over neighbours Fastnet. Mark Doyle & Garry Moore had our boys 2up, but Fastnet pegged them back & our boys had to dig deep to win with further goals from Stevie Cousins & Markie Maloney.

After beating Rathnure our youths are top of their division with 1 game left, while our u-16's remain top of Division 1 after beating the previously undefeated Curracloe. The in-form Davo Miller was among the scorers for both teams. The u-10 girls kept a point behind Duncannon after a tough 1-0 win over Bridge Rovers with Emily Bates hitting the winner.

In other games our women seem to be going through the motions. Recent heavy defeats to Curracloe & North End now mean they have lost their last 4 league matches, this is after winning their first five. Ferns & Bunclody were too strong in the cups for the u-14 girls & u-10 chaps respectively, while our u14 chaps went down 4-2 to Curracloe in the league.

Our u12 chaps won the local bragging rites with a 2-1 win over All Blacks, Oisin McGee & Luke Jordan with the goals.

Finally in conjunction with the local national schools parents association, our under-age section of the club are holding a race night on the 24th of April, for all those wannabe horse owners now's your chance, the cost of a horse for the night is ¤15 with prize money going to the winners of each race.
