Well done also to our u12's who took part in their first blitz on Saturday morning. The girls won against Rosslare and lost by a narrow margin against St. Martins A and B. The girls showed great skill throughout the three games. Keep up the good work girls.

There will be an u12 blitz held in Kilmore on 7th May. Our U14 team will play their next league game on 5th May against St. James.

BRIDGETOWN HANDBALL

There was an all Bridgetown clash in the final of the County U16 40 by 20 Doubles Final last Friday in St Josephs and it was a fitting end to the small alley season. The favourites going into the match were Liam Shannon and Aaron Wright Power, the current 60 by 30 doubles champions, but Ryan Bates and Thomas Byrne pushed them all the way in a very exciting final. Liam and Aaron got the better start and led 8-2 early on. Thomas and Ryan fought back to level it, but the first game went in the end to Liam and Aaron by the narrowest of margins, 21-20.

The second game followed a similar pattern and it looked at one stage that it would have to go to a deciding game, but Liam and Aaron held on to close the match out 21-18. Well done to the four lads for providing such an enjoyable final.
