Minister drops in to Faythe NS reunion
Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform Brendan Howlin turned up at a reunion of his former pupils in the Faythe School.
The Communion class of 1977 and Confirmation class of 1982 re-united for the first time at a get-together in Billy Kelly's pub.
'It was a great night. We had about 50 people,' said Noeleen Scallan who organised the event with Siobhan Doyle (nee Roche). The Minister taught the former pupils in second and third class and popped in to Kelly's to share a few memories during the night.
Retired teacher Noreen Power who had the group in sixth class, also went along.
D.J. Sean (Skipper) Scallan supplied the musical entertainment.
