CYSTIC FIBROSIS

Many thanks to all the collectors and contributors at last weekend's annual gate collection in which ¤322.50 was donated by Murintown.

BIRTHDAY

Congratulations to the evergreen Paddy Hall of Owenstown who recently celebrated his 102nd birthday in St. John's Hospital, Eniscorthy where the Drinagh Mummers entertained at his party surrounded by his family and friends. Best Wishes are extended to him and all the best for the future.

DRINAGH MUMMERS

The Mummers are performing in John Murphy's of Carrig on Bannow on St. Patrick's night from 7 p.m. All welcome! Come along and enjoy a grreat evening!

COMMUNITY CHILDCARE

The committee are working very hard to ensure that our Childcare Centre will be open in September 2010 for Preschool and After - school care in our community. Expression of Interest forms for September 2010 may be had from The Childcare Centre on Tuesday mornings 9.30 -12.00, from Murrintown N.S or from any member of the Childcare committee. Previous Expression of Interest forms already submitted for September 2010 are still on file.

The Mother and Toddler group are enjoying the facilities of the Childcare Centre every Tuesday morning.

FORTH CELTIC FC

Under 10s 1st team defeated Crossabeg at home winning 1-2 goals scored by Phillip Dempsey and Michael Codd. Under 10s 2nd team lost to Crossabeg 2nd team score 2-1 goal scored by Connor Devereaux Crossabeg getting their second goal just as the final wistle blew. Under 10s 3rd went down 3-0 but again these are only young and boy do they give it 100%.

Under 10s girls team play out a 0-0 draw with Bunclody. Under 12 girls had an exciting encounter with Ballindaggin which ended in a nil all draw in midweek .There was very little between the two sides and a draw was a fair result well done to the girls. Under 14 girls traveled away to Courtown and came away with a valuable point in a nil all draw. Great determination and grit was shown by everyone of the girls, well done to all.

Boys Under 14 were clear winners on Sat. walking away with 6-1 win over Bunclody. Goals scored; Leo Burke (1) David Higgins (2) Jake Firman ( 1) Jamie Carty (1) and Eoin Ennis. Scoring for Bunclody was Eamon Conway. Well done boys!

FORTH CELTIC LOTTO

The numbers drawn on March 8 were 4, 6, 2, 3, 7, 5 and 1– there was no winner. The next draw was scheduled to take place on March, 15 in Jordan's Bar with a jackpot of ¤800.

A coffee morning will be held on Sunday next March 21 at 11.00a.m. in St Martins Community Centre. The money raised is to support Elaine O'Connor on the UCD Overseas Fundraiser for Tanzania. Please all come along and support this worthy cause.

TENNIS CLUB

St. Martins Junior Tennis Camp will run from Tuesday to Thursday April 68. Age 10-12 years from 10.30am to 12.00 and age 13-16 from 12.00 to 1.30pm. Text in names and ages to Pauline Duggan to confirm participation.
