AUTUMN FAIR - Kilnamanagh/KIlmuckridge Parish Autumn Fair will be held in Kilnamanagh Old School on Saturday November3 between 2.30pm-5pm.
Teas and cakes will be on sale and all the usual stalls will be there-books, bric-a-brac, plants etc. Come along, bring a friend and enjoy a lovely afternoon in support of a worthy cause.
Congratulations and best wishes for their future happiness are extended to Marguerite Sinnott (daughter of Joe & Marian, Kilnamanagh) and Ian Brunswick, Chicago who were married in St. Patrick's Church, Oulart on Saturday 6th October. Bridesmaids were Carol and Sarah-Jo Sinnott, sisters of the bride while Cormac O Culain and Josh Hadro were bestman and groomsman respectively. Retired Parish priest of Oulart, Rev. S.S. Canon de Val was celebrant while the music was supplied by soprano Laura Carroll (first cousin of the bride) accompanied by harpist Aileen Kennedy. The reception was held in the Ferrycarrig Hotel. The newly-weds are residing in Dublin.
Best of luck to Oulart-The Ballagh senior hurlers, in their Leinster club championship campaign, which begins this coming Sunday November 4 when they travel to Parnell Park, to play the Dublin champions, Kilmacud-Crokes, in the provincial quarter-final.
It is proposed to attend a Christmas Party Lunch, on December 2 in Hotel Kilkenny. The cost is €25, plus the bus fare. Those intending to travel should give their names to Hugh Coleman (0539136156) as soon as possible.
Please note that the Annual General Meeting of Oulart and District Active Retired will be held on Thursday November 8 in Oulart Community Centre, beginning at 2pm. New members are always welcome.
SCOR NA NOG
The G.A.A. talent competitions, for young people under 17 years of age, are organised at district and county level, with the winners advancing to the provincial and All-Ireland series. This year, competitors from clubs in the Enniscorthy and Gorey districts will compete in the county semi-final on Saturday night, November, 24, in Oulart Community Centre, beginning at 7.30pm. Clubs from the Wexford and New Ross districts will compete in Carrig-on-Bannow on the previous night, 23rd November, at 730 p.m.
The Co. Final of Scor na nOg will take place in Oulart on Saturday December 1 and the county winners will advance to compete in the Leinster semi-final in mid December.
The 8 Scor categories are: Solo singing, ballad group, Figure dancing, Set dancing, Recitation, Quiz, Novelty Act, Instrumental Music Group. Dancers wishing to take part in the Figure Dancing should note that the Cross Reel, Trip to the Cottage and Eight-Hand Jig are prohibited this year while in the Set Dancing category the following are not allowed:
