OYLEGATE

HALLOWEEN CAKE SALE

Oylegate National School Parents Association are holding a cake sale in Oylegate School on Friday 26th October from 9.00am to 11.00am . All Support greatly appreciated , please come along and treat yourself to a spooky sponge or a monster muffin.

YOUTH CLUB DISCO

Oylegate Youth Club will host the Disco on this Friday October 26 in Taghmon Community Centre. Bus will leave Glenbrien at 8pm and Oylegate 8.10pm Supervisors for the evening are David Parker, Seamus Whelan, Ann Marie Nolan, Anna Mai Conroy, Pauline Redmond, Karen Hill Burke, Billy Mernagh and Kate Shannon.

Please note there will be no youth club in Oylegate Community Centre on this Friday evening October 26.

CHESS COMPETITION

Our club entered U-15 and U-18 Chess on Friday night last, with great success Eoin Larkin took Gold in U-15 and James Freeman took Silver In U-18 Katie Ann Neville took the gold.

Well done to all who took part and especially to the three who now go forward to the National finals.

TABLE TENNIS

We had 3 entries in table-tennis U-15 Liam Stamp. Tom White and Ciaran Lambert. Unfortunately we got no medals, but well done to the lads who put up a good performance on the night.

INTERMEDIATE HURLERS

Congratulations to the intermediate hurlers who defeated Bunclody in the county final. The club are delighted to be back in the senior ranks, a great feeling.

JUVENILE FOOTBALLERS

Commiserations to the juvenile footballers who were recently defeated in the county final. Juvenile Hurlers: The best of luck is extended to the juvenile hurlers who will play in the county final on Saturday morning next against Cloughbawn. The game will be played in St Patrick's Park Enniscorthy.

LOTTO

There was no winner of the lotto jackpot of €10,400 held in The Slaney Inn, Oylegate on Wednesday October 10. The four lucky dip winners were Michael Reck, Nellie Hayden, Marian Jennings and Oliver Kenny. The next draw will be held on Wednesday October 24th in Mernagh's Lounge, Oylegate for a jackpot of

€10,600. Tickets cost just €2.

CAMOGIE CLUB FUNDRAISER

The fundraising collection of clothes/ books / toys and mobile phones for Oylegate Glenbrien Camogie club will take place on October 30, the collection point is the GAA club house in Oylegate between 5pm and 7pm, you can bring your items along then or if you wish to contact Margaret o Connor 087 6371818 Tina Farrell 086 1730367 or Mary Martin 087 9926657 to make arrangements to drop items or arrange collection. Many thanks to all who have donated items.

OLD PHONES WANTED

Donations of unwanted mobile phones requested which can be exchanged for an iPad for a child with autism. Phones can be left in at Freeman's Gala shop.

ICA CROCHET CLASSES

ICA crochet classes continuing on Wednesdays in the Community Centre at 8pm. Open to members and non-members alike. For further information contact Anne at 0879085126.

TEXT ALERT SCHEME

Anyone who has forms for the above scheme and want to join it are asked to hand the forms back in to Mernagh's of Oylegate and anyone who needs a form to join the scheme are asked to drop in to Mernagh's to collect the form. Also If anyone who has signed up and are not getting the texts please contact any committee member.

HEALING SERVICE

There will be a Healing Service on Wednesday October 24 the Feast of St. Raphael in Oylegate Church. The ceremony will begin at the Healing Garden with a torchlight procession at 8pm.

MUSIC LESSONS

SHELMALIER WALKING CLUB
