COMMUNITY LOTTO

There was no winner of last week's jackpot of €3,300.The numbers drawn were 5,9,23,24. Congratulations to the eight match 3 winners who each received ?37.50. The winners were Aine Banville, Peggy Winters, Vera Murphy, Paidí and Cliona Power, Eileen Roche, Paul Murphy, Yvonne Cousins and Susan Rea. This week's jackpot stands at €3,600 and the next draw will take place on Tuesday October 23. Good Luck to all.

PARENT AND TODDLER

Halloween Party The Parent and Toddler Group are holding a Halloween Party next Wednesday October 24 in Rathangan Hall, plenty of games and fun for the kids. New members always welcome. 42.50 per family

PARISH BALLOT

At the meeting of the Pastoral Council it was decided to ballot people regarding the time of the Patron Mass on the 15th August in order to facilitate working people. It was proposed the time of the Mass should be moved to 6.30pm. A ballot paper will go around with the envelopes at the end of the year. All ballot papers will be sealed with parish seal.

TABLE QUIZ

There will be a table quiz in The Temple Bar, Rathangan on Friday 2nd November at 9pm in aid of Rathangan Variety Group. Table of four €20. Raffle on the night. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

MASS TIME CHANGES

A vote will take place at Masses in Cleariestown on the weekend of the 3rd and 4th of November to ascertain if the congregation would prefer the 8pm Saturday Mass to be changed to 6pm. Ballot papers will be distributed at all Masses by the Cleariestown Pastoral Council. If you wish to vote and are not at Mass in Cleariestown that weekend, ballot papers will be available from the vestry in Cleariestown Church.

Annual Kids Spooktacular Halloween Fancy Dress Party to be held in Cleariestown Community Centre on Tuesday evening, October 30, 6.00pm to 7.30pm, adm. €3, proceeds in aid of Cleariestown Playschool. All invited.

HARVEST THANKSGIVING

Social Evening Harvest Thanksgiving Social Evening to be held on Saturday, November 10, in the Hall in Cleariestown, following evening Mass, a warm welcome extended to the whole Community.

Rathangan Parish Church Development will hold a Monster Bingo session in Rathangan Hall on Sunday November 18.

ST ANNES GAA

Congratulations to the U-14 hurlers who won the county final on Saturday with a fine five point win over Oulart / The Ballagh. The U-21 footballers played a draw with the Shels after extra time in the county semi final. The Senior footballers are scheduled to play the Longford champions in Pearse Park, Longford on Sunday October 28 on 2.30pm. A supporters bus will be going - for details please contact Noel O'Keeffe on 087 2829310. Cost is €15 per person.

FREE BOXERCISE CLASS

To promote Boxercise in Rathangan, John Philips is offering anyone who wants to come along next Wednesday, Oct 24th at 10am to a free Boxercise class in Rathangan Hall. All fitness levels welcome and no equipment needed. For information call John on 0863893382.

DRAMA NEWS

Rathangan Variety Group would like to wish two of their members, Siobhan and Shauna Murphy, the very best of luck as they take to the stage with the Oyster Lane Theatre Group's production of "Annie" which takes place in the Dun Mhuire Theatre during the Opera festival.

ART EXHIBITION

The time is approaching fast for our Annual Art Exhibition which is taking place from Saturday 27th to Monday 29th October in Murrin town Community Centre with the reception being held on Friday October 26 at 7.30pm.
