ROSSLARE HARBOUR

CHURCH GATE COLLECTION

There will be a church gate collection next Saturday and Sunday, 18th and 19th September for the benefit of Friends of Severely Intellectually Disabled. Your support would be appreciated.

BODY CONDITIONING

Aerobics and body conditioning classes ARE starting ON 6th October in the Railway Social Club. Every Wednesday night 8 - 9 p.m. Enrolment night 29th September at 8 p.m. - 8 week course (2 stage payment). For details or to book your place please contact Denise on 087 9942271. Minimum class 12.

IRISH DANCING CLASSES

The Helen Cloke School of Irish Dancing will resume on Thursday, 16th September in the Railway Social Club and will continue every Monday and Thursday thereafter. Beginners 5.30 - 6.30 and advanced 6.30 - 8. All new members welcome. For further details contact 087 9586726.

ST PAULS A.C.

There was a strong turn out from St Pauls and the local area in the Kilmore 10 K road race on Saturday 11th last. Ger Maloney led the way for the club with a top 10 finish.

Guest runner Mark McGrath had a fine run on his debut outing for the club, & is welcome back at any time. Also running on the day and putting in a strong display were Derek Curran, Peter Connick, Liam Brohan & Eoin O'Neill. Training continues for those athletes taking part in cross county events. Training is on in Kilrane school at 6 pm on Monday evenings & Wednesday evenings at the track in Rosslare, also at 6 pm.

ICA NEWS

A Federation meeting will be held on Monday 27th September in The Stella Maris Hall, Kilmore Quay. Kilrane/Rosslare Harbour.

TIDY TOWNS

The Adjudication Report from this year's competition is now available from the loca lPost Office. The villages of Rosslare Harbour and Kilrane were awarded significant marks and this is testimony to the merits of the three - year plan and the amount of work that has gone into it by the members and more especially by volunteers who turn up for special projects and occasions when needed.

Thank you to residents in both villages for their participation in residential projects and maintaining the area outside their own property. Thank you also to local businesses for their support and especially to Goff Recycling, Kilrane for their help with recycling issues.

Our FAS workers Paul Murphy and Dick Corish are to be complimented for their dedication and hard work in helping to keep the villages looking their best. Finally, thank you to Wexford County Council and in particular to Cliona Connolly of the environment section for her ongoing advice and support.

STENA REUNION PARTY

There will be a reunion party for all British Rail, Sealink and Stena Line crew member past and present on Friday 24th September 2010 at 8pm in the Railway Social Club, Rosslare Harbour. LADIES COASTAL CLUB

The next get together is on 23rd October and we will be discussing Ideas about how to feel good about ourselves as well as some sharing of experiences of health and well being.

Remember the Culture Night is on the 24th October. New members are welcome to come along.

COMMUNITY RAFFLE

The committee of Kilrane/ Rosslare Harbour Community Centre would like to thank whose who contributed to their raffle held on Saturday 28th August in Murphys Super Valu, Rosslare Harbour. A total of €708.60 was collected.

A special thanks to those who collected on the day, those who donated raffle prizes and to Des and Alan Murphy for the use of their premises. It is all appreciated.

Irish Dancing classes have now recommenced in the Railway Social Club every Monday and Thursday 5.30 - 6.30 for beginners and 6.30 - 8 for advanced under the tuition of Helen Cloke. Further details from 087 9586726.

ROSSLARE PORT FC

Well doen to Rosslare Port FC on their 2 - 0 home wine over Orril United on Sunday 19th September. Mark Corish again on the score sheet with 2 goals. The port are so far unbeaten this season. Next week they are playing the new team of Rosbercon.

The 25th Rosslare Port Football Club Anniversary Dinner will be held in Danby Lodge on Friday 22nd October. Tickets are €30 per person and include music afterwards. Tickets can be purchased form Club Secretary Ellen Walsh on 085214864. The club are also looking for old photographs of the Rosslare Port Services team. If you have any pictures or paper clippings please contact Ellen.

Our lotto is now at €13,900. Tickets can be purchased in the local shops, hotels and pubs or from Club Members in the area. South East Soccer Draw tickets can also be purchased from Club Members.
