Two late points from Louth substitutes Ryan Burns and Gerard McSorley left Wexford facing another year in Division 4 of the Allianz Football League after losing this promotion decider in Drogheda on Sunday, March 27, by 0-13 to 0-11.

The visitors fared well in the early stages and led by 0-4 to 0-3 despite facing the strong wind.

However, they completely lost their way thereafter and trailed by 0-10 to 0-5 at half-time.

Wexford regained the initiative on the re-start and seemed set to push on when P.J. Banville levelled with under four minutes left.

However, Louth dug deep to grab those two points and clinch promotion alongside Antrim.
