Wexford Festival Singers, in a major choral event involving more than 100 voices, are to present 'A German Requiem' by Brahms on Sunday, May 24, in Wexford's Rowe Street church.

The event will celebrate 40 years since the formation of the choir in 1975 and the singers will be joined by two choirs from Waterford, Madrigallery and Ad Hoc Chorale, and guest singers. Wexford native Roisin O'Grady will sing the soprano part and Jeffrey Ledwidge from Dublin the baritone part.

The orchestra for the occasion will be the City of Dublin Chamber Orchestra and the Conductor is Kevin O'Carroll.

The performance takes place at 3.30 p.m. and tickets at €20 are available from choir members, by contacting 087-3628319 or at the door.
