€1.2 million worth of cocaine found in Rosslare
Coaine with a street value of €1.2 million was seized in Rosslare Europort on Monday.
Revenue officers at the port seized over 17kgs of cocaine.
As part of routine profiling operations, an Irish registered truck disembarking the ferry was scanned and searched, with the assistance of detector dog Ralph. The drugs, with an estimated street value of approximately €1.2 million, were found concealed in a side panel of the truck.
The driver, an Irish male in his fifties, was arrested by Gardaí and brought to Wexford Garda Station. Investigations are ongoing.
