Wexford clubs and organisations have been award €1,723,634 under the government's Sports Capital Programme (SCP) 2015.

This is the third round of the Sports Capital funding allocated following suspension of the Programme, under the previous administration, from 2008-2011.

Wexford's 2015 allocation is almost a half a million euro more than the fund that came to the county in 2014, when €1,263,695 was allocated to local clubs and organisations.

This year's Wexford allocation is drawn from €41 million handed out nationally.

The largest single grant for a local project is for New Ross Rugby Club which received €110,000.
