1916 social conditions in focus at Hadden lecture
A talk on social conditions in Wexford before the 1916 Rising will be delivered by Catriona Crowe, from the National Archives, as the George Hadden Memorial Lecture in the town on Thursday, October 29. The talk will take place at the usual Wexford Historical Society venue, St. Michael's Centre, in Green Street at 8 p.m.
Catriona Crowe is head of special projects at the National Archives and manager of the Irish Census Online project. Chair of the SAOL Project Rehabilitation Initiative, the Inner City Renewal Group and the Irish Theatre Institute, Catriona is also a member of the Royal Irish Academy.
