NINE housing estates in Wexford that have applied to Wexford County Council to be taken in charge by the local authority were built by a development company that is now dissolved. Meanwhile 14 estates in the county are subject to planning enforcement proceedings.
Figures revealed by the county council show that as and from last week 23 estates are awaiting initial inspection by the council.
While in a further 56 cases the council are awaiting documentation and/or remedial works by the housing developer.
Six estates have to be re-inspected, 14 of the estates are the subject to planning enforcement proceedings and there are nine applications on hand where the development company is now dissolved.
