A blooming day for Killinick Gardening Show
Keen gardeners from across Wexford and beyond are invited to take part in the seventh Annual Gardening Show, which takes place September 9 until September 10, in the Irish Agricultural Museum at Johnstown Castle.
New to the show this year, families can enter a novelty competition for the best-looking scarecrow, while children can also enter their weird and wonderful plant-art form.
The museum is open only for exhibitors Saturday from 9.30 a.m. until 1.30 p.m., while the show will be open to the public and for courtyard traders on Sunday from 9.30 a.m. until 5 p.m.
The competition is for enthusiastic gardeners and features some of the most important aspects of gardening, while aimed at encouraging new gardeners to grow.
It also caters for the experienced exhibitor with an Open Potato Championship and a top class competition for talented floral arrangers. For more information contact Jimmy on 087 765 3924.
