ACC Bank goes on sale for €850,000
THE vacant ACC Bank on Wexford's North Main Street has been put on the market.
The branch was one of 16 ACC Rabobank branches closed by the company in early February as part of a national restructuring of the bank.
The move drew criticism last month from local Councillor Jim Allen, who said the closure was a vote of no confidence in Wexford commercial life.
However, the sale of the 305 sq. m. property is expected to stir up 'considerable interest' with its guide price of ¤850,000.
Selling agents, Kehoe & Assoc. believe that the property will attract a lot of interest, despite the depressed markets.
'The property has a large retail area at ground floor level of a size and shape that will appeal to many national and international retailers,' said Robert McCormack of Kehoe & Assoc.
He believes that considering the large amount of interest in the former First Active building which was sold just before Christmas, there is obviously still an appetite in the market for well located Main Street property from both local and national investors.
