Accused of terrorising his mother
A YOUNG Wexford man accused of terrorising his mother was brought before the District Court in Gorey last week. Kyle Kemp was accused of putting his mother in fear at her home 4 Belvedere Grove where the 18-year-old was arrested by Garda Seán Twomey.
Judge Gerard Haughton noted that the charge related to an incident of alleged domestic violence and that that the arrested man's address was given as being the same as his mother's. He stood charged with threatening to assault Susan Kemp with a knife.
The accused said that, if allowed bail, he would either stay with his father at Donovan's Wharf in Crescent quay or go to the Ozanam House hostel. The arresting Garda felt that a move away from the mother should ensure no further problems. Judge Haughton made it a condition of bail that Kyle Kemp must stay away from both Belvedere Grove and from Susan Kemp while remanded on bail to appear at the court sitting in Wexford on December 3.
