Alzheimer's Society members put their artwork on show
AN EXHIBITION of a collection of work completed by a group of twenty members of the Alzheimer's Society is on display at the Blue Egg Gallery in Cornmarket.
The work is the fruit of over a year's work at three daycare centres facilitated by the Alzheimers' Society under the artistic direction of community artist Helen Mclean.
Sheila Gallagher, Co-ordinator of the Wexford branch of the Alzheimers' Society, explained that the work was very therapeutic for the clients and they thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
Four students from the Loreto Secondary School also volunteered their time to assist in the project.
'I want to thank Shauna Creane, Michaela Carley, Orla Sherwood and Eve Corcoran who gave their up their time to help', said Sheila.
The exhibition continues until this Saturday.
