DeDICATED runner Anthony Murphy from Murrintown donated €1,120 to the South Wexford Branch of MS Ireland after completing a 50 km run for charity.

'This was my second year doing this run for MS Ireland. The Donadea 50K Irish Championships in Kildare is difficult as you have to put in so much training prior to the event. Once I get the idea into my head I just go with it,' said Anthony.

Anthony, who regularly takes on marathons around the country in aid of a local charity, has often competed in the Dublin City Marathon, donating money raised to the Hope Cancer Support Centre in Enniscorthy.

Anthony raised the €1,120 for MS through sponsorship cards and went out of his way to do bucket collections in Wexford Town.
