Average price of three bed semi detached house is now €140,000

The price of an average three bedroom semi detached house in Wexford has risen by 3.7 per cent to €140,000 in the second quarter of 2015, according to a national survey carried out by Real Estate Alliance.
The REA Average House Price Index concentrates on the sale price of Ireland's typical stock home, the three-bed semi, giving an up-to-date picture of the property market in towns and cities countrywide.
50 per cent of properties are being financed by mortgages in Wexford and the average property takes eight weeks to sell.
The average semi detached house nationally now costs €186,968, the second quarter REA Average House Price Index has found which represents a slight fall on the quarter one figure of €187,153.
This means that the cost of a three bed semi detached in Wexford is almost €50,000 less than the national average.
