Sixth class pupils are preparing for the next chapter in their lives after they graduated from Blackwater National School.

Staff, students and parents attended a Mass in Blackwater church where the pupils were given graduation certificates for finishing primary school.

At the end of Mass, the annual presentation took place where Elizabeth Whelan was presented with the Tomas O'Shea award for Irish and Lisa Whiteacre was given the Robbie Sinnott Arts award.

Principal Caitlín Uí Bhrian ended the evening by wishing all the sixth class pupils the best of luck with secondary school.
