On Saturday, December 12, the Loch Garman Band will begin its seasonal performances by playing during 6 p.m. mass in Rowe Street Church and again the following morning, Sunday, December 13, during 11 a.m. mass in Bride Street Church.
Meanwhile, the Loch Garman Youth Band will begin its Christmas season with a 'Brass for the Belfry' concert in St. Iberius Church, which will be in aid of the restoration fund for that church's clock tower, which has recently undergone extensive works. The concert will be on Thursday evening, December 17, at 8 p.m. and will feature popular music and some favourite Christmas carols. Tickets will not be required as a retiring collection will be held.
The Youth Band will follow on from this concert by giving a lunchtime recital in the Wexford Library, Mallon Street on Saturday, December 19, and will afterwards complete that afternoon with an outdoor performance in the Bull Ring as part of the Wexford Winterland Festival.
The Youth Band will introduce 10 new members to its ranks for these three performances.
On Monday, December 21, at 8 p.m. the Loch Garman Band will conclude its pre-Christmas programme by performing in Rowe Street Church as part of the St. Peter's College Past Pupils Union Christmas carol concert, the proceeds from which will be donated to the charity The Friends of 'It's Good 2 Talk'.
