Busy time for Active Retired Association
A Well-attended meeting of the Wexford Active Retirement Association was held on January 25 last.
Guest speaker was Heathar Hadrill on the benefit of Tai Chi. She has classes starting on February 6 in Step by Step Studio, Unit 12, Westpoint, Clonard, from 2 to 3 p.m. It costs €50 for six weeks. Speaker at the February meeting will be Margaret Quinn of Muintir na Tire, dealing with Safety in the Home.
All the club activities continue: bowls and cards on Mondays at 2.45 p.m.; Scrabble on Thursdays at 2.45 p.m.; ten-pin bowling at Leisuremax on Tuesdays at 1.45 p.m. (ring Eddie at 086-0676301); Keep Fit at the Quality Hotel on Thursday. at 10.30 a.m.; Walking tours start from Ferrybank swimming pool on Tuesdays at 11 a.m.; photography course began on Monday, January 30 - to book place contact Maurice Cloake at 053-9172856.
The February lunch will be at the Riverbank Hotel on the 15th at 12.45 p.m. Contact Anna at 087-6393991.
The March lunch will be at the Ashdown Park Hotel, Gorey, on the 14th – €20 including bus fare; money and names will be taken at the meeting on February 29.
There will be a committee meeting on February 20th at 2.30 p.m.
