Southend Family Resource Centre in Mauldintown joined the One in Five Women National Balloon Release to show their support to those experiencing domestic abuse.

The balloons were released as a message to women who are experiencing abuse and to highlight that they are not alone.

The participants also wished to highlight statistics on domestic violence in Ireland.

'Taking part in the annual One in Five Women National Balloon Action is a simple but powerful way for Southend FRC to bring awareness to the community that 1 in 5 women are affected by domestic violence in Ireland,' said Debbie Bridges from Southend Family Resource Centre.
