Call to 'erectify' problems at Courtown Harbour prompts outburst of laughter
And word of the week prize goes to Cllr Robbie Ireton who mispronounced a positive word into a very positive, active word at the meeting when he called on the council to 'erectify' the problems at Courtown Harbour pier.
Cllr Ireton asked when the 'monstrosities' on the north and south piers are going to be removed.
He enquired if the contractors had rusted the machinery so badly that they cannot remove it. 'When are we going to see any action down there?' Director of Services John Carley said he has asked senior engineer George Colfer for an update on the matter.
Cllr Ireton said the issue needs to be 'erectified' as a matter of urgency, prompting an outburst of laughter.
