Cannabis

A Wexford man, charged with having cannabis for sale or supply, had been remanded on continuing bail until November to allow Probation Officers assess his suitability for community service.

Keith McAuley, 13 Ashfield Drive, Coolcotts, Wexford is charged with having cannabis, with a value of €800 at 103 Belvedere Grove on November 29, 2008.

The court heard that the defendant had the drugs for 'his own use and for use by immediate f4riends'.

The defendant told the court that he is 'no longer involved in this type of activicity'.

Judge Donnchadh O Buachalla sought a Community Service Order report and remanded the defendant on continuing bail until the first court in November.
