Celebrations lead to €250 donation

A WEXFORD man whose celebrations after landing a job in Spain got out of hand was given the benefit of the probation act.

Martin Livingstone (48), of Apartment 2, High Street, Wexford was charged with public order offences arising out of an incident at the Bull Ring on February 7 last. Inspector Pat McDonald said the Garda van was passing by Macken's bar, where Livingstone was standing outside, when he started to shout abuse at the officers. He was asked for his name and address by Garda Ger Guinan, whom he told to 'f**k off '.

The court heard that Livingstone, a computer technician, had interviewed for a job in Spain over Christmas and found out earlier in the day of this incident that he had been successful. Livingstone apologised to
