Child car seat campaign

The Road Safety Authority will promote road safety for children as they bring their latest initiative to various locations across Wexford.

Their free 'Check it Fits' Service aims to save lives by ensuring that child seats are properly fitted in cars. This week, the RSA team will be at various locations across the county to help parents and guardians to correctly fit their car seats.

Statistics show that three out of four child car seats are incorrectly fitted in cars, a problem that could lead to series injury or death in the event of a collision. The times, dates and locations for the Wexford visits are:

Tuesday January 12, Super Valu, St Aidan's SC, Wexford Town, 10 a.m. until 5.30 p.m.

Wednesday, January 13, Super Valu, The Quay, New Ross, 10 a.m. until 5.30 p.m.

Thursday, January 14, Super Valu Abbey Street, Enniscorthy, 10 a.m. until 5.30 p.m.

Friday, January 15, Super Valu, Main Street, Gorey, 10. a.m. until 5.30 p.m.
