SIXTY clay pigeon shooters raised €1,000 for the Waves music festival fundraiser in aid of Fethard RNLI.
The shooting enthusiasts took aim at four different stands shooting at eight clay pigeon birds from each, on a beautiful morning at Battlestown near Fethard-on-Sea recently.
Eagle-eyed Crossabeg siblings Eoghan and Ciara Carley won the male and female events respectively.
The event, which was organised by Fethard-on-Sea Game Protection Association, raised €947 and the club is topping up the amount to make a €1,000 donation to the local RNLI.
William Auld of Fethard-on-Sea Game Protection Association said: 'We had a super day and a good turn out with about 60 people taking part, all from the southern half of the county. It was quite competitive.'
