Wexford County Council has created a set of maps that can be accessed by a mapviewer or a smartphone app. These maps include:

* Wexford walking trails

* Wexford harbour navigation

* Accessible parking in County Wexford

* Eurovelo1 proposed cycle route across Wexford

* Planning Applications in Wexford

* Schools of Wexford

The maps will allow you to locate, for example, the start point of a walking trail on your phone and navigate to this point using google maps directions (audio and visual). You can then use the app to navigate your way around the walking trail with the use of the locations feature (gps) on your phone. Meanwhile, the county council has arranged a number of demonstrations to show people how to access the maps on both the viewer and the app libraries across the county: March 22, Wexford Library, 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.; March 24, Gorey Library, 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.; March 31, Enniscorthy Library, 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.; April 2, Bunclody Library, 2.30 p.m. to 4 p.m. and May 3, New Ross Library, 7 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.

The council has created an 'On the Move Mapviewer' which contains maps to be viewed on a pc or mobile. The url is http://arcg.is/1ptWdfm
