A man accused of illegal possession of a knife in Wexford made a brief court appearance in Gorey.
Nicholas Donnelly (40) of 87 Talbot Green, Wexford was prosecuted by Garda Brendan Costello.
It was alleged that he had the knife when gardaí arrived at Talbot Green on August 18 last year.
Defending solicitor Ed King pointed out that paperwork referred to the District Court area of Gorey.
However, Talbot Green is in the District Court area of Wexford, as he reminded Judge Gerard Haughton.
The judge agreed to strike out the proceedings but left it open to the prosecution to revive the matter, with the correct papers.
