Alleged that accused had a knife

Michael Clancy (19) from 1 John Paul Park in Murrintown appeared in the District Court on a knife possession charge.
Judge Gerard Haughton accepted jurisdiction in the matter after an outline of the prosecution case was given to the court.
It was alleged that Byrne was stopped and searched by gardaí at North Main Street in Wexford on December 28.
The reported finding a small flick knife in his hand.
Free legal aid was granted and the case put back to May 16, with bail allowed.
