An ill-judged manoeuvre in a crowded GAA car park earned Thomas Whitty (21) from Cooltaggart, Taghmon, a conviction for a careless driving offence.
Wexford District Court was told that no one was injured in the collision at Grantstown on May 30 last year between two cars, for which Whitty was held responsible.
Judge Gerard Haughton was told that the accused motorist drove too fast in the circumstances due to what the defending solicitor described as a momentary lapse of concentration.
A fine of €200 was imposed.
