Drove uninsured to pick child up from camp

A letter outlining a call from a summer camp telling Lyndsey Sinnott (32) of 95 Cromwellsfort Drive, Mulgannon, Wexford her seven year old child had suffered a small accident did not justify her being on the road without insurance
That was the decision of Judge Gerard Haughton who was told at a previous court sitting how her car was spotted at The Faythe on July 13 by Garda Donal Donovan and this led to prosecution for lack insurance cover.
In the District Court on May 16, Ms Sinnott produced the letter from St Joseph's community centre but the judge indicated that he intended to disqualify her once licence details were available to the court.
She told the judge she was on jobs seeker's allowance and that she was no longer driving.
The matter was adjourned once more to allow production of the licence on May 23.
