Duo remanded in custody as robbery case adjourned

TWO WEXFORD town defendants have had their court case adjourned to allow for the preparation of various reports.

Trevor Doyle and Darren Doyle, both of 25 Brendan Corish Gardens, appeared before Judge Barry Hickson at Wexford Circuit Criminal Court.

Both pleaded guilty to robbing Sheila Byrne of cash at Byrne's Petrol Station, Distillery Road, Wexford, on February 3, 2015.

They also pleaded guilty to entering Mace Supermarket, the Bull Ring, Wexford, on January 27, 2015, with intent to commit theft.

Ronan Prendergast, for Trevor Doyle, asked for a Probation Report and a Governors Report. He also applied to have sentencing adjourned to the next sessions.

Aoife O'Leary, for Darren Doyle, made a similar application.

Prosecuting Counsel, Sinead Gleeson, asked for the preparation of a victim impact statement.

Judge Hickson remanded both defendants in custody to appear before the next sessions for sentencing.
