Guilty plea of dangerous driving causing death

A 28-year-old South Wexford woman has pleaded guilty to careless driving causing the death of well-known retired businessman George Bridges.
Rosarii Doyle, of 45 St. David’s Well, Bridgetown, pleaded guilty to careless driving on December 14, 2104, at Curteenminogue Lower, Murrintown causing the death of Mr Bridges.
When the case was called at Wexford Circuit Criminal Court before Judge Barry Hickson, Defence Counsel John Peart said the DPP had accepted a reduced charge of careless driving.
When arraigned, the defendant pleaded guilty to the lesser charge.
Mr. Peart applied for an adjournment to July 28 next to allow for the preparation of a Probation and Welfare report.
Proscuting Counsel Sinead Gleeson requested a victim impact report.
Judge Hickson adjourned the case to July 28 next.
