A Castlebridge man is accused of robbery at O'Leary's Newsagents in Slaney Place, Enniscorthy.

A CASTLEBRIDGE man accused of robbery at Gala Express, Slaney Place, Enniscorthy, was remanded in custody for a month, after he appeared before Judge Gerard Haughton at the Enniscorthy sitting of Gorey District Court last Wednesday.

Inspector Sean Clince told the judge he was awaiting directions from the DPP in the case of Anthony Rossiter (28) of Ballyregan, Castlebridge. He is accused of robbery at Gala Express, Slaney Place, on June 17 last; theft at Shannon Hill, Enniscorthy, on June 12 last; and robbery at Springvalley, Enniscorthy, on June 14 last. He was already in custody and Inspector Clince looked to extend the period of detention.

The defendant was remanded to appear before Wexford court on August 5.
